LAHORE – Punjab Minister for Law Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan on Monday invited Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) to submit and discuss suggestions for electoral reforms in the proper forum of the parliament.

Talking to journalists, he said any electoral reforms suggested by the PTI in the parliamentary committee would be welcomed whole-heartedly. “We are firm believers of democracy therefore will go to every extent for the sake of democracy in Pakistan,” he said. If government, law and the constitution would not be valued, it would cast a terrible example, he said.

Answering a question, the minister said no decision had yet been finalised whether to allow or denounce PTI's August 14 long march. However, he made it clear that no one would be allowed to take law in hands under the garb of protest. He said that the political dialogue could be held with the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leadership for peaceful solution of the issues.
