Senate approves Islamabad LG elections bill
ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Thursday approved the local government (LG) elections bill with majority.
The bill is aimed at reorganising the local government system in the federal capital and recommends holding elections on a party basis.
The Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Bill 2015 was tabled by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
