PM Nawaz to meet Modi on sidelines of SCO summit in Ufa

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi M. Khalilullah said on Thursday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ufa at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit meeting.

He went on to say that the meeting was recommended by Indian officials.

The PM left Oslo today for Ufa Russian Federation on the second leg of his visit where he will attend the 15th SCO Summit and 7th BRICS Summit.

During his two day visit to Russia, PM Nawaz is looking forward to hold meetings with the participating leaders including the Russian President, the Chinese President, and the Afghan President.

The FO spokesperson confirmed that Pakistan had responded positively to the suggestion from India for a meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the summits.
