PM reviews expansion plan of Lahore airport

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chaired a meeting to review the expansion plan of existing passenger terminal building at Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The prime minister directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Nespak to come up with variety of designs so that the appropriate choice could be made. He also directed the CAA to engage firms of high repute for preparing proposed designs, said a press release on Saturday.

Nawaz asked the officials concerned to complete the arrangements for the financial and technical matters in due course of time and prepare comprehensive proposals for the next meeting. The CAA and its consultant National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) made a presentation to the prime minister.

Special Assistant on Aviation Shujaat Azim, the secretary aviation division and other senior officers from the CAA attended the meeting.
