Pakistan files complaint with UNMOGIP against India

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army on Friday registered with United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) the Indian Army’s ceasefire violations. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army also highlighted the Indian use of heavy mortars and machine guns on civil population, living along Working Boundary and Line of Control, which resulted in killing of four civilians and injuring five during the last two days. An ISPR statement called for the UN observers to probe the Indian ceasefire violations and provocation. It added that the Indian Army had targeted civilian areas with heavy machine guns and mortar shells.

The Foreign Office summoned Indian High Commissioner Dr TCA Raghavan to protest the violations.
