PM to address nation over inquiry commission report
ISLAMABAD – Prime minister’s spokesperson Dr Mussadik Malik on Thursday confirmed that the much-awaited judicial commission report on rigging in general election 2013 case received at the PM House, reported by a private TV channel.
According to the report, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to address the nation today (Thursday) at 7pm after the publication of the commission report. Dr Malik said the report would publish on Law Ministry’s website.
He also revealed that the legal team would brief the prime minister on the commission report in the afternoon. Quoting source, the channel reported that the report was submitted to the government through the Ministry of Law and Justice.
The Pakistan Muslim League-N said that the commission rejects all allegations of the organised rigging, claimed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.The PTI spokesperson said that official response would come after the publication of the report.
