Monsoon likely to cause widespread rains in Sindh
ISLAMABAD: According to the latest meteorological and hydrological conditions analysed by the Flood Forecasting Division Lahore, an active monsoon weather system is likely to affect Sindh province.
The monsoon may cause fairly widespread thunderstorm/rain of moderate intensity with heavy falls at isolated places and very heavy falls at some places during next 4-5 days.
Urban flooding is expected in main cities including Karachi during the period. Scattered thunderstorm of moderate intensity with isolated heavy falls is also expected in Balochistan especially in northeast central and coastal areas of the province which may also cause flooding in local nullahs and rivers.
The Flood Forecasting Division requested that all concerned should be cautioned/forewarned to take necessary precautionary measures to avoid any loss of lives and damage to public as well as private property.
