Indian army usurping Kashmiris' right of self-determination: Lodhi

NEW YORK: Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi said on Thursday that Indian army was usurping Kashmiris' right of self-determination.

According to details, Maleeha Lodhi spoke at a meeting of the General Assembly and said that the only way to ensure peace in Kashmir was by following the resolutions of the United Nations. Maleeha made these statements for the media.

Lodhi further said that despite the Indian army's atrocities against them, the people of Kashmir were still struggling for their independence. She said that a poll according to the Security Council's resolution was the only way forward in finding the solution to the Kashmir dispute.

She also said while addressing the General Assembly that the Indian army was usurping the people of Kashmir's right of self-determination.
