Imran condemns attack in Nice that left scores dead

ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan condemned the attack in Nice which took place on Thursday and expressed deep concerns over the spread of terrorism globally.

In a series of statements, the PTI chairman regretted the loss of lives in France and stated that the murder of innocent and unarmed civilians could not be tolerated at any cost.

Imran also said that the international community must make a factual and honest analysis regarding the causes for such incidents of terror. He also expressed fear and concerns for the growing threat of terrorism globally.

The death toll was put at more than 80 people after a truck driver plowed through a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, France. French President Francois Hollande referred to the act as a terror attack.

People who had gathered to watch the fireworks were at first shot at by the driver, who then mowed them down with his truck. Later, French police shot and killed the driver of the truck.
