Solidarity with Kashmiris: Nation to observe 'Black Day' on July 19

ISLAMABAD: The Special Cabinet meeting on Friday has decided to observe nationwide black day on July 19 to mark complete solidarity with Kashmiris.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

Addressing the Special Cabinet meeting held in Governor House in Lahore on Friday, he termed the movement of Kashmiris as a movement of freedom.

“Indian brutalities will give impetus to the freedom struggle,” Prime Minister said.

He said seven hundred thousand Indian soldiers deployed in Occupied Kashmir could not suppress the struggle of Kashmiris.

It was also decided in the meeting that government would convene the joint session of Parliament to discuss the situation of Indian occupied Kashmir.

Earlier, at the outset of meeting, the Cabinet offered fateha for the departed souls of Abdul Sattar Edhi, Amjad Sabri and Shuhada-e-Kashmir.

The meeting condemned the terrorist attacks in France, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Indonesia.
