Pervaiz Rasheed slams Imran Khan, likens him to undemocratic forces

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed said on Sunday that PTI chief Imran Khan would always look towards non-democratic forces.

Responding to earlier allegations of the PTI chief against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Rasheed said that Imran was mourning the love Pakistanis had for democracy.

"Imran appealed to the whole nation to take part in his sit-in protest," he said.

Pervaiz Rasheed also said that PML-N would win the elections of 2018 based on its good performance and governance. The federal minister also lashed out at Imran and likened him to non-democratic forces.

"Non-democratic forces usually come in the guise of people like Imran Khan," said Rasheed. "The masses meanwhile, have sided with democracy," he added.

Rasheed claimed that whenever PM Nawaz met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he always discussed the issue of Kashmir.

"Khan sahab, in a democracy, you have to serve the masses," said Rasheed. "You don't come into power via a shortcut."

PTI chief Imran Khan had earlier said during his address that if the army were to stage a take over in Pakistan, people would distribute sweets in the country and not resist the coup like masses in Turkey.
