Qandeel Baloch laid to rest in Multan
MULTAN: Slain Pakistan model Qandeel Baloch was buried on Sunday after her funeral prayers were offered in Dera Ghazi Khan.
A large number of people showed up to attend the funeral and burial of Baloch at Shah Sadar Din village. The slain model, who was also quite a controversial figure on social media due to her provocative Facebook videos, was strangled to death by her brother for 'honour'.
Qandeel Baloch's body was brought to Shah Sadar Din village this morning for her funeral and burial rites.
A couple of weeks before her death, the slain model had requested for more security from the government and cited death threats as the reason she was forced to go underground.
When news of Qandeel Baloch's murder broke on Saturday, it sent a wave of shock and revulsion throughout the country.
Baloch was often criticized for her Facebook posts and videos by a certain section of the population who thought she was spreading immorality while others thought she was breaking social taboos.
