Qandeel murder case: suspect to take polygraph test today

LAHORE: The central suspect in the Qandeel Baloch murder case, Muhammad Waseem, will be brought to a forensic laboratory in Lahore on Tuesday to have his polygraph test conducted.

According to sources, it has been decided to test the statements given by Qandeel Baloch's brother Muhammad Waseem, who confessed to killing his sister for honour. The polygraph test will contend whether Waseem is telling the truth or not since it will also provide an insight regarding his mental state of mind, according to the police.

Waseem will be brought to Lahore today where his blood samples will also be taken. According to sources, Qandeel Baloch's forensic report can take up to a week. After the slain model's report is obtained, then further advancements are expected to take place in the case.

Qandeel Baloch, a controversial model and social media personality, was strangled to death on Saturday, July 16 at her house in Multan. Her brother Muhammad Waseem confessed to killing his sister and claimed that he had no regrets over murdering her.

Mufti Abdul Qawi had also been included in the murder probe of the slain model and internet star.
