ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Tuesday appreciated the cabinet’s decision to enhance the age limit for candidates of Central Superior Services (CSS) to 30 years.

Speaking in the Senate, the chairman observed that it was a positive job on part of the federal government to raise the age limit as he came to know that the federal cabinet has given its approval to enhance the upper age limit from 28 to 30 years.

He said that the House Business Advisory Committee would act as Ethic Committee till the finalisation of the draft code of conduct. Meanwhile, the draft code of conduct for members of the Senate as finalised by the House Business Advisory Committee was laid in the House for feedback of members before operationalisation.

Raza Rabbani said that the recommendation given by the senators were accommodated in the draft and the members could also submit their suggestions, if any, through their parliamentary leaders and the secretariat after studying the draft so that the code of conducts could be finalised in light of the suggestions.
