Kashmir-to-Kashmir trade remains suspended

By: Online

MUZAFFARABAD: The Kashmir-to-Kashmir trade between Muzaffarabad and Srinagar has been suspended due to the atrocities in the Indian-held Kashmir and still remains unaltered after day 19.

Dozens of the passengers stranded across the Line of Control (LOC) while internet and cellular service has been cut off in the disputed state. Imtiaz Hashmi, a passenger, said that his family went to the Indian-held Kashmir to celebrate Eidul Fitr with his relative.

They (family) could not return home (here in Azad Kashmir) owing to the curfew and the deteriorating situation there, he said. The local passenger requested the authorities to take steps of such extent that the passengers stranded across the Line of Control could be repatriated.
