Qandeel murder case: Waseem’s Polygraph test shows contradiction

MULTAN: Polygraph test conducted under the supervision of police on Saturday showed contradicting statements by Waseem, the main accused in Qandeel Baloch’s murder.

The polygraph and DNA tests of the suspect in the Qandeel Baloch murder case were conducted at a forensic lab in Lahore on Friday.

According to the police, a six-hour long polygraph test conducted showed Waseem statements had gaps and loopholes.

The police official heading the investigation team took suspect Muhammad Waseem, brother of the victim, to Lahore.

Earlier, police on July 20 obtained five-day physical remand of Waseem who had confessed, before the judicial magistrate on July 19.

Meanwhile, acting Superintendent of Police, Investigation, Ali Mardan said police would interrogate Mufti Abdul Qavi regarding the case next week.

He said police investigation so far suggested that Aslam Shaheen, another brother of Qandeel who was initially nominated in the FIR by the family, was not involved in the case.
