Murad succeeds Qaim as Sindh chief minister

Former CM, cabinet members submit resignations to PPP chairman

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah handed over his resignation to Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Tuesday, a private TV channel reported.

Talking to media after submitting his resignation, Qaim said that he was thankful to Bilawal, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for the opportunity that was given to him to serve as the Sindh chief minister. He also said that the cabinet members had also submitted their resignations to the PPP chairman along with him.

In another development, the PPP chairman announced Murad Ali Shah as the new Sindh chief minister. The decision to replace Qaim Ali Shah as CM Sindh was taken at a meeting in Dubai which was attended by Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Bilawal Bhutto and other senior members of the party.

Leaders of several political parties extended their congratulations to Murad for becoming the new Sindh CM.
