Expose the conspirator and we will support you, PPP asks PM

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday asked Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif not to live in suffocation and tell the nation who’s conspiring against him.

“We don’t see any conspiracy, but if the prime minister tells the nation who’s hatching conspiracy against his government, then we will stand by him,” said the PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira while addressing a press conference at the Zardari House here.

“We have asked several times as to who is hatching conspiracies against him. If there is any conspiracy against democracy, tell us and we will save democracy, but he’s not replied and only claims a conspiracy is being hatched against him,” he added.

Kaira said Nawaz Sharif should also tell the nation about the secrets which General Ziaul Haq had shared with him … the secret of friendship of Indian Prime Minister Modi, the secret of attacking the Supreme Court, the secret of friendship with kings and the secret of getting money from Osama Bin Laden to destabilise the Benazir Bhutto government.

He said the prime minister and his family should also tell the nation how assets worth billions of rupees were made from just one steel mill in 1970s.

“It is not only a conspiracy against democracy, but also against the national security, so a meeting of parliamentary parties must be convened to expose who were the conspirators,” he continued.

"What secrets are buried in your heart Mian sahab? Please tell us who the conspirators are."

He said Nawaz Sharif never fought for democracy but it was the PPP which gave sacrifices of its leaders for democracy.

He said Nawaz Sharif used to insult and berate Benazir Bhutto, who had returned to sacrifice her life for the country while Nawaz Sharif handed the over country to a dictator in the darkness of night.

Kaira said Nawaz Sharif obtained funds from Osama bin Laden to hatch conspiracies against the Benazir Bhutto's government.

Meanwhile, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Saturday said “Go Nawaz Go” rallies in Multan, Bahawalpur and DG Khan by the PPP were just the beginning and asked Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to step down before the nation showed him the Red Card.

In a statement on Saturday, he appreciated the party leaders and workers from South Punjab for launching the salvo against Nawaz Sharif and his coterie who had caused immense damage to democracy and democratic credentials.

“Nawaz and company has proved that politicians grown and groomed in a dictator’s lap had joined politics for their ulterior motives instead of serving the nation and the country,” he added.

Bilawal said resignation was the only way out for Nawaz and asked him to avoid locking horns with the national institutions to save his financial crimes.

“Is not this shocking that each family member of Nawaz Sharif fattened their assets by an average of 16.6 percent during his 1991-92 and 1992-93 tenures in the Prime Minister House as per the Panama JIT findings?”

He said Nawaz Sharif had himself promised that he would step down if the evidence came out against him but now he was reluctant to fulfill his own words when a box full of evidence was made available to the entire nation.

He said the PPP workers won’t stop “Go Nawaz Go” sloganeering and rallies across the country until Nawaz Sharif was forced to resign by the masses.
