NIA chief’s remarks vindicates Pakistan’s position: Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday said remarks of India’s National Investigation Agency chief that investigations have found no evidence showing Islamabad’s complicity in a militant raid at Pathankot airbase vindicated its position.

The raid killed seven security personnel killed and four militants in the Pathankot airbase earlier this year.

“Pakistan’s spirit of cooperation is manifested in the action we took in the wake of alleged incident,” he said on Twitter.

He said the Joint Investigation Team that visited India is examining whatever information and intelligence was shared by New Delhi during its visit.

“Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence with countries in the region and beyond,” Zakaria said.
