Won't back down till we hold Sharif family accountable: Imran Khan

KOHAT: PTI chief Imran Khan said that his party would not back down until PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif and his family was not held accountable.

Addressing a large rally of PTI supporters in Kohat, the PTI chairman reminded people at the beginning of his speech that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam.

“Remember, Pakistan is the only country in the world which was created in the name of Islam," he said. "This will be the country which will provide other poorer countries aid and where people will come to look for jobs by seeking a Pakistani visa," he said.

Imran Khan said that if he came to power, he would invest on the people by providing them with education and training.

“Sixty-percent of our population is comprised of the youth. We will provide training and education to these youth by building colleges and institutes. They, in turn, will become the country's assets," he said.

During his speech, Imran also taunted JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman indirectly when he told his supporters that they had to put diesel in their tanks and not vote for it.

“Pakistan needs to be led by leaders who have to live and die in this country," he said. "Leaders who speak truth to the masses and fulfill promises promised towards them," he added.

Imran Khan also turned his guns towards PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif when he said that the Premier owned only one factor before he came to power and twelve years later, he now owned twelve factories.

"Establishing factories during your own regime is also a form of corruption," said Imran. "Using undue influence when in power is also corruption," he added.

Imran also made it clear how he had no intention of backing down from the demand for the PM to be held accountable.

"We want to make it clear that we will not back down from our demand of holding Nawaz Sharif accountable," he said. "Use the same ToRs to investigate me and Nawaz Sharif both," he said.

Before departing, the PTI chief thanked the crowd for according him a warm welcome. He said that he would neither forget the people of KP nor the people of Kohat.
