Pakistan ready to solve all disputes with India, says Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD: The adviser to the Prime Minister on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan is willing to have cordial relations with other countries including its neighbouring India.

In a press conference on Thursday he said that Pakistan aims to solve all disputes and grievances with India on a negotiating table as well.

The foreign affairs advisor said the drone attack by United States had breached the US-Pakistan contract and has harmed the peace process in Afghanistan.

He also said that Pakistan had been working diligently to bring Afghan parties to the table to negotiate peace and those efforts had been severely impaired by this US drone attack.

“We severely condemn the US’s drone attack in clear words”, he added.

He said that the anti-Afghan-peace forces had always wanted and worked towards the military operations against Afghan Taliban and Pakistan had always wanted to solve the disputes and achieve peace through negotiations instead of armed strikes.

“Negotiations will not achieve results in a day or two, neither should it be expected that negotiations can take place in blink of an eye. This will need time and a lot of patience on part of all stakeholders involved,” he said.

He added that Pakistan hoped that Afghanistan will cooperate and the matters will be solved through discussions.
