Legal notice issued to Imran in defamation case filed by Ishaq Dar's son

‘Imran must apologise for falsely accusing me or be ready to face the music’

ISLAMABAD: A notice was issued to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan today in a defamation case filed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s son in a local court in Islamabad.

The defamation case is worth Rs 5 billion and was heard by Additional Session Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan. The plaintiff said that Imran had accused him during a press conference of possessing illegal property in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and those accusations were also reported in the media which multiplied the damage. He had also demanded that Imran apologises for hurling false accusations or be ready to face the music. The court adjourned the hearing and reissued a notice to Imran for June 18.
