CDWP approves seven development projects of over Rs61.9Billion

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved seven development projects of over 61.9 billion rupees.

The approval was granted in CDWP meeting that held in Islamabad on Friday with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal. The projects got CDWP's nod include transport, communication, water resources, information technology, mass media, human resources and higher education.

The meeting approved up-gradation of Thokar Niaz Baig to Hadiyara Drain-Multan Road in Lahore at a cost of 10.3 billion rupees and Jaglot-Skardu road of worth 33.13 billion rupees.

It assented remodeling of Warsak Canal at a cost of 12.14 billion rupees, establishment of a Technical Training Institute in Gilgit Baltistan with 100 million rupees, Punjab Tourism and economic growth project of worth 5.7 billion rupees, technical training project for 1,100 youth of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a cost of 78.6 million, and a project of higher education of worth 276.4 million rupees.
