US denies violation of Pak airspace

ISLAMABAD: The US embassy on Wednesday rejected a daily national newspaper’s article claiming that US aircraft violated Pakistan’s airspace over the town of Chaman in Balochistan. “This accusation is entirely false. No US aircraft flew over the town of Chaman as alleged in the article. Coalition and US air operations in Afghanistan conducted along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region are closely coordinated with the Pakistan Air Force,” a US embassy statement said. It said “we refer questions concerning the integrity of Pakistani airspace to the Pakistan Air Force”. Official sources of Pakistan Air force also rejected the newspaper’s claim. staff report
