Nisar to propose names for caretaker prime minister to PM Ashraf in 2-3 days
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will reply to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s letter in two to three days.
Nisar is expected to propose names of the opposition’s nominees for care taker prime minister. According to sources, the names will also be sent to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan via JI Ameer Munawar Hasan.
Prime Minister Ashraf in a letter had requested Chaudhry Nisar to propose names for the position of caretaker prime minister. In the letter Prime Minister Ashraf said it was imperative that a consensus be reached on the appointment of the caretaker prime minister under Article 224.
Failure to reach a consensus soon could result in the matter being sent to a committee, PM Ashraf said.
