Altaf condemns killing of journalist Malik Mumtaz

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of a correspondent of a private television channel, journalist Malik Mumtaz in Miran Shah, North Waziristan. In a statement issued by MQM, Altaf said that the brutal killing of Malik Mumtaz was an attack on the freedom of the press in the country.

He sympathised with the bereaved family of the slain journalists and offered condolence to the journalists’community. He appealed the government to take serious notice of the killing of Malik Mumtaz and steps be taken to protect the journalists in the country.
