SC issues written verdict in Karachi unrest case

KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday issued a 27-page written verdict in Karachi law and order case also including a six-page additional note by Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Geo News reported.

The verdict said the Supreme Court had ordered delimitations of Karachi constituencies and not merely made an observation in this regard. It added the electoral body didn’t implement the apex court order.

The ruling said the sub-section of Article 51 of the Constitution dealt with allocation of National Assembly seats.

It said the MQM review petition was dismissed as its counsel Dr Farogh Naseem didn’t stress while the MQM-H petition was rejected over non-pursuance.
