JC recommends appointment of 7 additional judges at PHC
ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission (JC) has recommended appointments of seven additional judges at Peshawar High Court (PHC), Geo News reported.The meeting of JC was held here on Saturday, with Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in the chair.
Those recommended for the position of additional judges at PHC included Abdul Latif Khan, Malik Manzoor, Afsar Ali Shah, Lal Jan Khattak, Ikramullah Khan, Musarat Hilali and Saud Khan, however, consensus on the name of Hayat Ali Shah could not be reached.
The issue of making six additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) permanent was also deliberated in the meeting.
