Whole nation determine to root out terrorism from Pakistan: CM Shahbaz says Punjab govt approves first phase of reforms in motor vehicles system

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that whole nation was determined to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan. The chief minister was talking to a parliamentarian delegation that called on him in Lahore on Tuesday. During the meeting, he said that peace would be brought again in the country by winning war against terrorism. He said that decisive war against terrorists and their facilitators was being carried on and terrorism would be rooted out from the country. Shahbaz said that effective measures were taken in the province under National Action Plan which is proving fruitful for elimination of terrorism. He was determined to win the war against terrorism for security and stability of Pakistan. He said that the Punjab government has approved first phase of reforms in motor vehicles system. The approval was accorded at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore. The meeting decided to change the payment system of token tax and introducing Dealers Vehicles Registration system for registration of new vehicles and motorcycles. The chief minister said under DVR system, registration and number plate will be issued from dealer. Shahbaz said with the change of token tax system, special stickers will be issued to vehicles on payment of token tax. He said that ATM and online facility will be provided for payment of token tax. He added that the number plate of vehicle will be changed with the change of ownership.
