Decision on Senate chairman after allies’ consultation: Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said his party would nominate candidates for the slots of Senate chairman and deputy chairman after having consultations with coalition partners.
Following the statement of PPP leader Rehman Malik over the nomination of candidates for chairman and deputy chairman, Asif Zardari reprimanded Malik, saying that they cannot take decision without consulting the allies.
He also stopped Malik from giving such statements.
It may be noted here that Rehman Malik had earlier said it is PPP’s sole right to field party’s candidate for the slot of Senate Chairman.
