ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has accused the government of taking delayed decisions on important matters.

Talking to journalists at the Parliament House on Tuesday, the senior politician said that reconciliation was possible with any one (a reference to PML-N) in the interest of Pakistan. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not invited him for the luncheon, he hosted for the Parliamentary leaders. He said that had he been invited, he would certainly have attended the conference of the political leaders.

However, he conceded that there have been contacts with the PML-N during which the party asked for support in election of the senate chairman. The PML-Q responded that it would support Mian Raza Rabbani. He said that the government should also support Mian Raza Rabbani. Asked if inter action was increasing between the PML-N and the PML-Q, Chaudhry Shujaat said that it depended on the former as his party was prepared for understanding in national interests.

He said that the PML-N would have to change its attitude if it wanted for a rapprochement. To a question, Shujaat said that he did not understand the assertion of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan for coming to street once again for protest. The PML-Q chief said that he did not avail perks and privileges as a Senator, and it does not make any difference for him whether he remains in the House or not.
