KP to conduct LG polls on May 30
ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday announced that the province will conduct Local Government elections on May 30 this year.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the schedule today according to which nomination papers can be submitted from April 13 till 17.
The scrutiny of papers will take place between April 20 to 25.
Appeals against rejection or acceptance of nomination papers can be filed from April 26 to 28, which will be dealt with latest by May 4.
Candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations by May 5 and on May 6 a final list of candidates will be released.
Results of the LG polls in KP will be declared on June 10.
