Kuwaiti speaker briefs Nawaz on functioning of parliament
By: PPIISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif met with Kuwait Parliament Speaker Marzouq Ali AlGhanim at the Kuwait’s National Parliament on Tuesday.
Kuwaiti Parliament speaker welcomed Nawaz Sharif and his delegation to national parliament of Kuwait and briefed the PM on the structure and functioning of the Kuwaiti Parliament.
The PM said that strengthening and developing fraternal ties between the two countries, through expanding mutual parliamentary visits, would prove beneficial and emphasised on activating the role of the two chambers.
Nawaz suggested that parliamentary relations between the two chambers need to increase. The PM noted that Pakistan was ready to enhance contact and expand mutual visits to reflect the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
