Nawaz vows to end deprivation in Sindh

THATTA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday vowed to address the deprivation of Sindh by spending billions of rupees on water, road, gas and health projects.

Addressing a public gathering in Thatta, Sharif said his government would make cities of Sindh better than those of Punjab. He said the people of Thatta and Sajawal are facing hardships due to lack of infrastructure and poor health facilities. He said people of area want the same development as in Punjab.

“We will issue Sehat Card in Thatta, Tando Muhammad Khan and Sajawa,” he said, adding that the people will receive better health care through government and private hospitals.

He also announced to build a 500-bed hospital in Thatta and pledged to ask the Federal Water and Power Minister to visit the district in order to address the issue of load shedding.

Nawaz Sharif also announced to build protective embankment to prevent seawater from eroding fertile lands of Thatta, Sajwal and Badin.

The prime minister also promised to spend 110 billion rupees on gas supply to Thatta and adjacent areas.

Nawaz Sharif said Karachi-Hyderabad motorway section has been completed while Sukkur -Hyderabad Motorway section will be completed soon.
