PM inaugurates Punjab police digital system

LAHORE: Citizens across Pakistan face hurdles when they visit police stations said, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as he inaugurated a system on Saturday that would digitalise Punjab Police.

Nawaz lauded the services and sacrifices rendered by the department for the protection of the country and said that we can never forget the sacrifices of our martyrs.

He appreciated the efforts and positive changes brought into the system and said that these reforms would help ensure citizens feel welcome about lodging complaints.

The Punjab police department had already been working on revamping the system and this system would link all the police stations to the central command.

Information technology experts would be present on the front desk of every police station and criminal data would be recorded in the system.

He was accompanied by the province’s Chief Minister and Governor.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that the successful PSL final was proof that the country can hold big events without an issue, he also criticised politicians that were against the idea of holding the final in Lahore.
