Consolidating military control in Kashmir reflects India's occupational mindset: Mirwaiz

SRINAGAR: Hurriyet Forum Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq says India is consolidating its military control in occupied Kashmir by grabbing more land for its military upkeep and infrastructure.

He was commenting on a news report published in a local newspaper that the puppet administration has allotted 480,000 kanals of land to Indian Army at Mandalthang and Shayok area of Ladakh for using as a firing range.

In a statement in Srinagar Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said, “Consolidating military control in the disputed territory reflects India's occupational mindset. He said it wants to resolve a political dispute through military might.”
