Altaf did not critcise Army in speech: MQM
INPKARACHI - The Rabita Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said that party chief Altaf Hussain did not criticize the army during his speech.
The MQM said that Altaf Hussain praised Army Chief Raheel Sharif during his speech and asked him to provide justice to MQM.
The statement issued form Karachi and London further said that Altaf Hussain did not even criticize the arrest of criminals. The MQM chief said he was playing a role in investigations against sectarianism. “If any party worker or even my brother is involved, they should be hanged,” the Rabita Committee quoted Altaf Hussain.
The statement further said that Altaf Hussain had praised the army and its chief General Raheel Sharif, adding that he had presented a salute to officers and martyrs of the army during the million man march. MQM chief has also asked party workers on several occasions to help the Pakistan Army, the statement said.
