Altaf’s remarks about army, leadership uncalled for, disgusting: DG ISPR
ISPR DG says using media to incite Pakistani people to rise against State will be pursued legally
APPRAWALPINDI – Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asim Bajwa on Friday said Altaf Hussain's speech on television channel last night containing remarks about Army and its leadership were uncalled for and disgusting.
Such reference to Army or its leadership as reaction to arrest of criminals, who may have links with any political party, won't be tolerated, he tweeted on social media. He said that the matter of irresponsible remarks and using media to incite the people of Pakistan to rise against the State will be pursued legally.
The ISPR director general said that Pakistan Army and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) will continue to execute operations as assigned to them.
