Kuwait assembly speaker arrives tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly Marzouq Ali M Al-Ghanim along with a parliamentary delegation will arrive in Islamabad tomorrow on a four-day official visit to Pakistan.

The Kuwaiti speaker is accompanied by a 31-member delegation comprising parliamentarians and leading businessmen. He is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq as part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote bilateral parliamentary exchanges and economic cooperation.
The delegation will be received by NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq along with senior officials of National Assembly secretariat at Rawalpindi’s Nur Khan airbase. The speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly during his stay in Islamabad will meet, besides his interaction with his counterpart, President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security & Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Pakistani parliamentarians.
During these meetings, matters relating to further enhance cooperation between the National Assembly of Pakistan and Kuwaiti National Assembly as well as boosting economic cooperation between the two countries will be discussed. The Kuwaiti speaker will also address the members of the Pak-Kuwait Friendship Group.
