Zulfiqar Mirza gets interim bail till May 30
INPKARACHI - A Karachi-based local court on Thursday granted interim bail to Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, the former provincial home minister, till May 30 in a case of rioting.
Mirza appeared before sessions judge amid tight security and sought bail in a case registered against him in Aram Bagh Police Station. The judge accepted his request and granted Mirza bail till May 30 for security bonds amounting to Rs 100,000.
Mirza was booked in the case on charges of rioting, assaulting police and hindering them from performing duties after forcibly climbing atop an armoured personnel carrier outside an anti-terrorism court in Karachi.
