Terror no basis to demand any CM’s resignation: Nisar
* Interior minister says aim of terrorists is to paralyse and divide nation

KALLAR SYEDAN: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said he does not speak for any chief minister (CM), but resignations are not sought on the basis of terrorism.

The minister said the war on terror would be won at all costs to make the country a cradle of peace.

Talking to a public gathering in Kallar Syedan, he said noose has been tightened around the terrorists and they are now targeting soft targets in utter desperation.

He said it is the responsibility of the nation and the political parties to give a message of unity and unwavering commitment to defeat the terrorists. He said overall law and order has improved since the launch of operation against terrorism. He said the aim of terrorists was to paralyse and divide the nation

He said, “We will further gear up efforts against the terrorists who have maligned the name of Islam through their nefarious acts.”

The interior minister also said that terrorists are successful in their objective when the nation demands officials to resign after terror attacks in the country. He said the government did not press the Sindh chief minister to resign.

Without naming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, he said, “It is wrong to expect politics from a fan club.”
