PM emphasises achieving targets within time frame

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government was ensuring transparency and merit in every domain, emphasising that proper functioning of Prime Minister Delivery Unit (PMDU) was of utmost importance for the entire nation.

Addressing a meeting of PMDU, the prime minister directed the PMDU members to work with dedication and honesty in an efficient manner. “PMDU must focus on achieving targets, especially those relating to energy sector, within given timeframe to bring prosperity to the people,” he said. The premier would personally supervise the working of PMDU to monitor progress on projects of key importance.

Federal Minister for Planning and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi attended the meeting along with other senior government officials.
