Chinese delegation discusses Saaf Paani project with Shahbaz

Punjab CM says Pakistan can benefit from Chinese technology

LAHORE – A delegation of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) led by its President Zheng Xue Xuan met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday.

All vital matters regarding the promotion and collaboration of infrastructure projects, including the Saaf Pani project, were discussed in the meeting.

While talking to the delegation Shahbaz said, “Pak-China ties are strengthening with the passage of time and the investment package of $46 billion for Pakistan is a great gift by China.”

He said under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) all relevant work was being carried out speedily on the projects throughout the country - including Punjab. He said that under CPEC, the journey of progress and prosperity of the people had started.

The chief minister said the economic corridor was not only a package of $46 billion but also reflected everlasting friendship between the two countries and was a proof of sincerity and love of Chinese leadership to Pakistan.

He said that no hurdle would be tolerated in the implementation of CPEC projects as they guaranteed progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He further said that Pakistan can benefit from Chinese technology through these projects.

The Chinese delegation, on their part, lauded Chief Minister Shahbaz’s vision of public service and said that all development projects were being implemented with high quality in Punjab.
