Pervez Rashid asks Imran to show details of offshore company

ISLAMABAD: Strongly criticizing Imran Khan, Information Minister Pervez Rashid has asked PTI Chief to show details of his offshore company –Niazi Services Limited- set up in England.

He was addressing a press conference a day after Imran Khan admitted that he had set up an offshore company -Niazi Services Limited- in 1983 on the advice of his accountant in England to “avoid paying taxes.”

Rashid asked Imran why he had set up offshore company and had not disclosed it yet. Also what is the income of his company and how much property he has purchased with this income, he questioned.

Imran Khan is answerable to people, parliament and Chief Justice over offshore company, he asserted.

Rashid said Imran Khan was pointing fingers at others, however, number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members who own offshore companies is more as compared to others

Pervez Rashid said six offshore companies are owned by PTI members.

He said all six men including Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan and others have admitted they own offshore companies.

The minister asserted, “Neither Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif nor any ruling party’s minister or lawmaker own offshore company.”

He said only single offshore company of Pakistan People’s Party has surfaced.

Rashid said telling a lie and hiding the truth is part of Khan’s politics. He asked Imran to start speaking truth before the masses.
