Joint opposition ends NA, Senate boycott
ISLAMABAD: The joint opposition has announced to end boycott of the National Assembly and Senate.
Speaking to media after the meeting of the joint opposition here Tuesday, Khursheed Shah said, “Parliament is our forum. How can we run away from it."
He also announced that the joint opposition is ending its boycott of NA and Senate.
Shah added that it took ages for the Prime Minister to finally appear in the assembly.
The opposition had staged a walk-out from the National Assembly on Monday following a 30-minute address of the prime minister over allegations hurled at him through the Panama Papers.
Khursheed Shah went on to say the opposition had put forward seven questions but the PM’s speech turned them into 70. He added opposition will discuss the points raised after the address of the Premier from Wednesday.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said opposition is serious and wants corrupt people and Panama thieves to be exposed.
Aitzaz Ahsan said PM Nawaz address to the parliament converted opposition’s seven questions into 170. He said, “We will seek answers of these questions in the parliament and if we do not get reply, the joint opposition will chalk out its future line of action.”
