According to details, initial evidence was deposited with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) by witnesses Muhummad Shoaib and Syed Baqir Mehdi. Eastern Enterprises' director Muhammad Shoaib was kept at the top on the list of witnesses, who handed over documentary evidence against suspect Mohsin Ali Syed to the FIA.

Geo News has obtained details of the challan which was deposited in court by FIA for the Imran Farooq murder case. Included in the challan were details of suspect Mohsin Ali Syed which include his admission form for a British college, a copy of his passport and his BSC Honors degree from Karachi University.
