Hungarian ambassador meets Punjab chief minister

PESHAWAR: Hungarian Ambassador Istrian Szabo along with his entourage of trade and commerce attachés met Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Tuesday. The meeting took place at Chief Minister’s House and the two sides discussed various matters of mutual interest.

The entourage included Emilia Szabo Istrian’s, Dr. Istrian Balogh (commercial consular) Balaz Balogh, (security advisor), Katalin Muller (Trade officer), Saindor Mihalko (consul), Ms. Magpolna Mihalko and Ghulam Dastagir, honorary consul of Hungary in Peshawar and Chairman EZDMC/CPEC.

The mission lauded steps of provincial government for ensuring good governance, improving law and order and creating congenial environment for industrial and trade activities in the province.

The Hungarian ambassador also expressed the desire of his government for increasing the volume of investment. The chief minister thanked the Hungarian government for sincere cooperation in accelerating the pace of industrialisation and investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He specially mentioned the assistance of Hungarian oil exploration company MOL in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He welcomed the offer of more investment as well as arrival of investors from Hungary for investment in tourism, agriculture, energy, car manufacturing, small and medium enterprises and other sectors.

He asked the Hungarian ambassador to help the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government complete the bus rapid transit (BRT) being undertaken by his government for Peshawar.Istrian Szabo assured the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of helping it in completing the RBT, Peshawar.
