President urges India to avoid hampering peace efforts

ISLAMABAD: Mamnoon Hussain called upon India to join hands for peace and development of the region instead of negating efforts made in this regard.

He urged all stakeholders to join hands with the government for successful completion of the various development projects going on across the country.

The President said that Pakistan is desirous of durable peace and stability in the region while addressing the inaugural ceremony of two-day ‘Made in KPK’ exhibition in Islamabad on Saturday.

The President said peaceful co-existence is the hallmark of Pakistan’s foreign policy and it has always extended goodwill gestures to all neighboring countries for peace in the region.

He said Pakistan has been at the helm of efforts for peace in Afghanistan, which shares with us common religious and cultural values.

Mamnoon said Pakistan will be a pivot of the region after the completion of CPEC, which aims at development in every part of the country.

He said people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve rich tributes for exhibiting exemplary courage in rooting out the menace of terrorism alongside the country’s armed forces.

The President said that the government has taken landmark initiatives for betterment of education, health, energy and infrastructure of the country. He urged all stakeholders to join hands with the government for successful completion of development projects.
