Six civilians injured in Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Six civilians, four women among them, were injured in unprovoked Indian firing that continued throughout Saturday across the Line of Control.

Three civilians, including two women were injured in unprovoked India firing in the Baroh Sector along the LoC. The injured were identified as Zamurd Begum, Shazia Parveen and Muhammad Inzimam, an ISPR statement issued on Saturday evening said.

The statement added Indian troops had been targeting civilian population while the Pakistani forces were only firing at enemy’s checkposts.

Earlier in the day, three civilians were injured when Indian troops opened unprovoked firing in Karela, Kotkoterra, Khuiratta, Sabzkot, Baroh, Tandar and Khanjar Sectors along the LoC.

The injured were identified as Haji Muhammad Younis, son of Abdul Aziz, Rehana Bibi, wife of Muhammad Asif and Samina Begum, wife of Tufail Mughal.
