Bilawal condemns Gwadar attack


KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack on labourers in Gwadar. In a press statement, the PPP chairman said terrorism was not acceptable in any form or colour. He said the PPP’s stance was clear on terrorism from day one when some people were begging mercy from terrorists and others were suggesting opening their offices in the country. Bilawal expressed solidarity with the grieving families and demanded compensations from both the federal and Balochistan governments. Separately, Bilawal continued interviews from party candidates on the third consecutive day for district office-bearers. Candidates from Jaffarabad, Kalat, Kharan, Dera Bugti, Awaran, Killa Saifullah, Washuk and Zhob districts appeared in the interviews. Besides the chairman, Maula Bukhsh Chandio, Ali Madad Jattak, Iqbal Shah, Sarbuland Khan Jogezai and Sabir Baloch attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Bilawal asked the Sindh government to build new houses in Tharparkar’s village Wakrio, where a fire turned an entire village into ashes on Friday. In a press statement, he expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property and stressed that the Sindh government should provide relief and assistance to the victims. Bilawal said that any delinquency or inefficiency on the part of local administration should not be tolerated in organizing relief and rehabilitation of 500 victim families. He said that all the burnt homes would be built afresh by the Sindh government urgently. He said that instant relief and medical help should be provided to fire victims and they may be taken care of very well. The PPP chairman pledged that his party would not leave the Tharis alone during sufferings and would serve them with all its capacity.
